How much money should you plan to set aside for this holiday season? We recommend no more than 1.5% of your annual income.

According to PwC Canada’s holiday outlook report, Canadians will spend an average of CA$1,593 for the 2019 holiday season, up slightly from CA$1,563 (or 1.9%) in 2018.

The main reason people get into trouble and overspend is because they don’t have a holiday budget. We have taken the liberty of putting together a template for you so that you can avoid having a panic attack in January when your credit card bill arrives.

Happy holidays!
